If you are debating on  buying a storage shed or renting a storage unit. Another good thing about a metal shed is washing it. When an all metal shed is empty you can grab the waterhose and a rag and soak it down, wash it up, and not have to worry about damaging anything.     I do it on every "Show Me Shed" that I build. Thats usually the last thing to be done to a shed being built. So I really enjoy washing an all metal shed.

What size shed is the most popular? My studies point to the 8x12, and for good reason, they are big enough for the mower, patio set, BBQ grill,  but not to big as to take half the yard, or never be able to move it,  Also material is easier to get for this size shed, 8 and 12 foot building products are common.      

Another bonus of metal sheds compared to wood sheds is if you are going to want to increase the size of your shed in the future, A metal shed can easily be added to, it will be easier to  disasemble it, simpler to add pieces, and will remain stronger during the addition process.   Wood sheds sure are nice. But the advantages of metal sheds out weigh wood sheds.
